Tourism team building

Our track games

Our track games create an Experience

During the pandemic, we had a reflexion on the aspects to be developed so that our visits become real experiences while focusing more on the new vision of our mission, which is the social economy. We explain how this new business strategy was carried out.

Our development focused on Experiences has led us to reflect on how to offer our services to the corporate sector and business tourism. We attended several meetings of sectoral organizations such as MERCI, in order to see how to better meet the needs of this clientele when the pandemic is over. We also did strategic monitoring on tourism and digital business.

It appeared in these readings that the model of group visits, during conventions and business meetings, is destined to disappear. So, how do you discover our territory in small bubble groups of 5 or 6 people while responding to congress requests for 60, 120 or 200 people

The answer came to us through a new type of museum visits made at the MUCEM in Marseille. This digital and interactive visit on iPad was a discovery. We have therefore redesigned our walking tours in order to aim to make them as track games. We have created a global application that can connect 3 to 12 tablets. Each route is made up of 5 or 6 stations, each with 4 to 6 open-ended or multiple-choice questions. The school version of our Experience App makes it possible to respond to school groups and root-families reunions.

We therefore offer 5 courses adapted to this less corporate clientele:

  • History of Levis
  • Public art in Levis
  • Cultural space of the Saint-Nicolas district
  • Old Quebec
  • An unsolved enigma in Quebec

Team building

At the start of the pandemic, the Board of Destination Experience Levis had a reflection on the new tourism to be developed to meet the new health standards. We have come to develop the following project:

Develop a tourist teambuilding application on tablet highlighting team building itineraries based on the tourist discovery of Levis. This application will have to link between 3 and 6 tablets while recording the answers to historical questions, following the spatial and temporal evolution of each team, collating the interactions between the teams as well as the creation of reports on the success of the itinerary and on team building.

For this project, we received assistance from the EDNET program of Tourism Chaudière - Appalaches in order to carry out the digital development of a private application.

We would like to acknowledge the financial support of the Caisse d'économie solidaire de Québec.

Post-pandemic

Our NPO managed to create its own App called Experience based on the Yloop app. The project thus became:

Develop a tourist teambuilding application on tablet highlighting team building itineraries based on the tourist discovery of Quebec. This application connects between 3 and 12 tablets. The App records the participants' answers to the questions, while following the spatial and temporal evolution of each team. The courses will create interactions between the teams. The App allows the creation of reports on the success of the route and on the reinforcement of team spirit.

This app is available to:

  • corporate groups in business meeting or convention in Quebec. We are targeting the business tourism niche, this sector of the economy looking for teambuilding activities with interactivity and digital technology.
  • school groups on school visits in Old Quebec and Old Lévis
  • families organizing leisure and discovery activities during meetings of founding families.

Now, very few companies in Quebec offer this type of activity on computer media such as iPad or Chrome book. We have created a global application that can be used on a number of 3 to 12 interconnected tablets. This application allows us to create up to 60 different routes. Each route is made up of 5 or 6 stations, each with 4 to 6 open or multiple-choice questions.

Our courses are accessible for people with reduced mobility.
