Conferences on Leisure, Culture, Tourism
In 2016 and 2017, Guy Junior completed a DESS, id est a graduate diploma at the level of the master's degree in Leisure, Culture, Tourism at UQTR. As part of the Social and Cultural Analysis of the Tourist Experience course in the spring of 2016, he conducted research on Religious tourism and pilgrimage to understand the Holy Door of Quebec. This research led him to lecture on the subject in 2016 and 2017.
Our conference topics
Since 2018, Guy has been carrying out one research per year on subjects related to Leisure, Culture, Heritage or Tourism. His research later became conferences. The various topics are:
- The 7 Holy Doors
- History of the economy in Quebec
- The Adoration of the Magi in painting
- The Corriveau
- The 7 Years War
With the arrival of the Jubilee of the Holy Year starting in December 2024 and ending with the closure of Port Sainte in Saint-Pierre in December 2025, Guy is preparing a new conference on this subject. Religious tourism is therefore also taken into consideration at Destination Experience Lévis. If your organization would like to develop a conference on a particular subject, do not hesitate to contact us in advance. Researching and writing a lecture is a 2-3 month process.
